A short profile of the Dundalk Cycling Alliance.
Dundalk Cycling Alliance was established in September 2004 and comprises of local cycling club members, keen cyclists, concerned parents and ordinary everyday cyclists. It was as a result of concerns of dangers to cyclists in the town and county.
We promote the adoption of cycle lanes as is commonplace in countries like the Netherlands, Germany, Denmark, Sweden and Finland, where cycle lanes have created a safe and popular means of transport and reduced the levels of noise and pollution.
We have no political affiliation and do not seek to promote any other agendas.
Dundalk Cycling Alliance holds a meeting of all its members on the first Wednesday of each month.
